Powers of Attorney

Powers of Attorney are used to appoint a trusted individual with the power to act on your behalf in the event you become temporarily or permanently incapacitated. The main purpose of this appointment is to avoid the expense and potential conflict of a Conservatorship proceeding in the event of incapacity.

Powers of attorney may become effective at the time of execution of the document or they can be written in such a way that they only become effective when the incapacity occurs.
